Promote the Vote

There’s a lot of bad stuff going down in our country right now. Costs are too high, educator salaries are too low, and public schools are underfunded.

A better country is possible, but we have to use our voices to promote the vote and demand change. NEA has a program called Promote the Vote with Empower where members talk to family, friends, and neighbors about what matters most to you, and encourages them to vote to make those concerns heard and hold politicians accountable.

There are even some opportunities to get paid — just for talking to the people already in your contact list!

What to Expect

A few things to know about the Promote the Vote with Empower program:

• You’ll download the Empower app which will give you tasks to do regularly to connect with friends, family, and community members.
• The work can be done from home and entirely on your own schedule.
• The virtual, one-time training session will give you all the tools, support, and resources you need!
• Paid opportunities are available in some locations.
