A message from Gov. Tim Walz to NEA Members
Video Transcript
Hey everyone. Governor Walz here. I want to thank you, the mighty National Education Association, for everything you’re doing to help our campaign as a former teacher and card-carrying union member. I know just how busy you all are. You already give so much to your students, and yet you still find the time to phone bank knock doors on Saturday mornings and help your neighbors get out to vote. Vice President Harris and I could not be more grateful. Now, you don’t need me to tell you, but this race is going to come down to the wire. But let me just say we’re fighting like everything is on the line because it is. Trump’s Project 2025 agenda would eliminate the Department of Education. I’m not kidding. They actually wrote it down and they’ll continue their attacks on organized labor, which we all know is the backbone of our nation.
But folks, Kamala Harris is not going to let it happen. A Harris-Walz White House will have your back just like you’ve had. Ours will fight for strong public schools, strong union protections, and an opportunity economy that lifts up everyone. That’s the future we’re fighting for, but it’s going to take all of us to make it happen. So let me ask you, how many more volunteer shifts can you take? How many more phone calls can you make? How many more neighbors can you go and talk to? You heard me say it before, never underestimate a public school teacher. So let’s keep it going NEA, because when we fight, we win.

Join Team Harris-Walz in making calls to swing state voters. This is one of the easiest and most important ways you can help Kamala win.
