“A good job comes from a good education, and I will always fight to ensure our teachers and our kids have the tools and resources to succeed.”
Jacky Rosen was the first member of her family to attend college. She supported herself through school by taking out loans, working two jobs during the school year, and waiting tables as a proud member of Culinary Workers Union Local 226.
Serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, Jacky has been a strong advocate for public education. Jacky, a former computer programmer, led legislation to encourage students, especially girls, to pursue STEM education, which passed the House unanimously. She also has championed legislation to help veterans get the education they deserve.
Jacky has spoken out against the Trump Administration’s efforts to undermine collective bargaining as well as the Supreme Court’s recent Janus ruling, which harms public sector unions.
