Spend the Summer Fighting for Public Schools

As an educator, you've seen first-hand how four years of DeVos’s education policy has squeezed public schools. Talk with neighbors in your area to ensure public education is a priority.

Selected applicants will:

Live in or near a priority area in Michigan

Attend a mandatory online training to learn best practices for messaging, effective advocacy, one-on-one conversations, and technical skills needed to complete your work

Engage in conversations with the public, both within your community and in priority areas of the state, about your experiences as a public school employee and the importance of voting
Checked box
Participate in digital efforts to encourage a targeted list of your neighbors to Vote by Mail – once COVID19 public health restrictions have been lifted, take your message door-to-door

The Details

  • Applications are due by May 15; positions will be filled on a rolling basis
  • If selected, you’ll earn a stipend of $3,000 to $4,000, depending on position
  • Online training tentatively scheduled for June 15th and 16th
  • Voter outreach will begin immediately after the June training dates and continue into September
