Biography

Gretchen Whitmer is a lifelong Michigander and product of Michigan public schools. Throughout her tenure in both houses of the Michigan State Legislature and as a state prosecutor, she has always had the back of working families.

Gretchen has a track record of working across party lines to obtain meaningful change for Michiganders. However, throughout her tenure, she has shown a willingness to stand up to both Democrat and Republican governors who try to divert funding from K-12 schools.

In order to put Michigan back on track, Gretchen understands that the way forward is through investment in our children and working families.
