by Brian Washington/photo courtesy of JCCSEA Colorado Thousands of educators are visiting Washington, DC to shape the future of the National Education Association and America’s public schools. The 2012 National Education Association Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly (RA) kicks off today, Wednesday, June 27, and runs through Thursday, July 5. The event is taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The RA is the highest decision-making body within the over 3.2 million-member NEA. With over 9,000 delegates, the RA is also the world’s largest democratic deliberative body.
