NEA joins National Voter Registration Day on September 25

On September 25, more than 700 organizations and tens of thousands of volunteers in all 50 states will join together in a massive effort to register voters before Election Day. The National Education Association is joining organizations and companies such as the YWCA, League of Women Voters, Univision, Tumblr and others in this effort.

With restrictive new voter laws cropping up across the country, it is more important than ever to make sure you’re registered to vote and ensure others in your community are ready as well. By visiting the events page at, you can search for events in your area and sign up to get involved. You can also download pictures and resources you can share on facebook and twitter, and even sign up to host your own event.

In 2008, 6 million Americans didn’t vote because they missed a registration deadline or didn’t know how to register. Help us to ensure no one is left out this year by visiting and getting involved in the campaign.

  1. Is this every year?
    they would had missed the primaries or is this on the year of no majority election?
    Shouldn’t it be May 25 or June 25 , 60 days before the primaries and before HS graduate from HS ?
