With unprecedented attacks on the American worker and unions being launched across the nation, people are raising their voices and fighting back. Below is a roundup of some of the action taking place around the country.
100,000 protesters showed up in Madison, Wisc., on Saturday, Feb. 26 to speak out against Gov Walker’s attempts to strip unions and workers of their rights.

On Friday, Feb. 25, the New Jersey Education Association sponsored a rally at the statehouse in Trenton, N.J. More than 4,000 union members and labor supporters descended on the capitol to show their support for educator and worker rights.

Educators and union members rallied in solidarity with sisters and brothers under attack in Wisconsin, Idaho, Ohio, and Indiana on Friday, Feb. 25. Does it feel like the tide is turning? It did in Portland. NEA President Dennis Van Roekel was among the many speakers to fire up the crowd.

The Stand with Wisconsin Workers rally held on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the state capitol in Sacramento was attended by more than 2,500 labor supporters and featured a number of stirring speakers.
